What is FORS?

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a distinguished voluntary accreditation scheme designed to elevate the standards of fleet operations across the UK. Targeting efficiency, safety, and environmental stewardship, FORS recognizes fleet operators that excel in managing their operations to the highest standards. With three levels of accreditation—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—FORS not only benchmarks quality but also encourages continuous improvement among fleet operators, offering well-deserved recognition for their commitment to best practices.

What do you need?

1

Blind Spot Vision Aid System

Equip your vehicles with a comprehensive camera system that covers nearside, offside, and rear blind spots, enhancing driver visibility and safety.
2

In-Cab Warning System

An audible system alerts drivers to VRUs in their near-side blind spot, supported by a monitor displaying the blind-spot view.
3

Side Sensor System

This essential feature alerts drivers to the presence of VRUs alongside the vehicle, bolstering roadside safety.
4

Class V and VI Mirrors

Vehicles must be equipped with Class V and VI mirrors or an equivalent camera monitoring system—or a combination of both—to meet UNECE Regulation 46 standards, enhancing direct vision around the vehicle.
5

Audible Warning System

Vehicles must have warning speakers to alert VRUs when turning or reversing, with functionality to deactivate at night in urban settings.
6

Pictoral Warning Stickers

Display warning signs on your vehicle's exterior to caution pedestrians and cyclists about the vehicle's movements, enhancing awareness and safety.
